This social team event not only offers you an unforgettable experience that will touch your heart, but it also changes lives! In our inspiring workshop, teams of three people (up to 20 teams possible at the same time) have the unique opportunity to create prosthetic hands for landmine victims. But beware: guaranteed goosebumps for all participants!
Through the Helping Hands initiative, more than 45,000 LN4 hand prostheses in 75 countries have already given people with arm amputations a free, robust and virtually maintenance-free chance to perform everyday tasks such as eating, dressing or even cycling more easily again.
But what can you expect from this extraordinary event?
We will be happy to tell you how it works:
Part 1: Playful knowledge transfer about mine victims with tricky puzzles and quiz questions awaits you. Boring learning is a thing of the past!
Part 2: Take on the One-Hand Challenge and master games, tasks and competitions with just one hand. Experience for yourself what it's like to master life with just one hand. A truly challenging challenge!
Part 3: Now comes the highlight - building the prosthesis. Our experience manager introduces you to the project with exciting videos and photos. But that's not all! Each participant receives a glove that allows them to work with just one hand. This allows you to feel the challenges of having only one hand at your disposal as you build the prosthesis. Teamwork is very important here! With our prosthesis kit, consisting of 30 parts for a prosthetic arm and detailed assembly instructions, your team is ideally equipped. If you have any questions, our “first aid” helper will be happy to assist you. At the end of the workshop, each team will proudly hold a fully functional prosthetic arm in their hands. But wait, there's still something missing: the individual design and painting of the prosthesis case and a group photo together will make the whole experience unforgettable!
HOW DO THE PROSTHESES GET TO THE PEOPLE?
The finished prosthetic arms are sent to the Ellen Meadows Prosthetic Hand Foundation in California, where they undergo a quality check. The prostheses then find their way to their new owners in over 75 countries on the so-called “Fitting Days”. Believe us, these moments are simply overwhelming and touching - both for the recipients and the distributors. To show how much their lives have changed, the new owners take a photo with their gift and send it to the team that built the prosthesis. A moving testimony of collaboration and the incredible impact they can have on other people's lives.
This team event offers a unique opportunity not only to strengthen team spirit and cooperation, but also to leave a deep emotional impression.
