The professional water treatment plant for schools in Uganda - your social project as a team

APPLICATION LOCATION:

Imagine a school in Uganda with up to 5,000 pupils but hardly any water connections. Even thirst-quenchers like us are left with a dry mouth. But don't worry, we have the solution: our fantastic water treatment plants! They not only provide drinking water for all the thirsty pupils, but also enough water for the kitchen so that meals can be prepared fresh and tasty. Cheers to clean water and happy stomachs!


THE PLANT:

This system is the superhero among water filters! With its aluminum construction and ultra-fine filters (0.015 μm membrane size - yes, that's smaller than a human hair, 4,000 times smaller!), it declares war on bacteria and viruses. And the best thing is that it not only works with an electric pump, but can also be operated manually. This means that the children always have fresh water, regardless of whether they have electricity or not. A real marvel of technology!

  • Production volume with hand pump: approx. 700-900 l/h
  • Production volume with electric pump: approx. 1,600 l/h
  • One plant supplies 900 pupils (and their families) with fresh
    drinking water every day
  • Service life of 6-10 years


GENERAL INFORMATION:

We need your active support to build this facility:
15-20 people will become true heroes of the water if they build this facility together. Don't worry, we will provide you with all the tools you need. Together we will saw, drill, screw and glue until the system is finished. And then comes the big moment: we turn polluted water into drinkable water, right on site! Each of you will be proud to drink the treated water that you have purified with your own hands. It's a WOW effect that leaves us all speechless!

  • 15 -20 persons/construction of a plant
  • 6-8 hours event time (construction can be adapted to shorter times
    , then certain parts are prefabricated by us in advance).
  • Required tools are provided by us


THE COURSE OF THE EVENT:

We start with an introduction to the water problem in Africa. We explain how important your help is and what opportunities there are to help. Then we divide you into groups and start building the system. Along the way, we give free rein to our creativity and design a picture of all the “builders” of the plant. Of course, we also want to test whether our plant works. We clean it and taste the fresh water together. This is the moment when we are all beaming and know that we have created something great. A final photo with the system and our creative picture is a must. Then we get the system ready for dispatch and you can continue to follow what happens to the system via a landing page.

  6. Prepare the system for dispatch

Via a landing page, all participants can see...

  • ...where the system is currently located;
  • ...at which school your system will be used;
  • ...which faces are behind the name of the school;
  • ...how much water was filtered in which periods of time;
  • ...how happy their deed makes individual students and their families (photos + personal exchange).
